- Some iPhone users may have the option Shutdown the Device as opposed to Remote Shutdown
For the UBEE LYNX tracker - this model doesn't have a speaker so no sounds will emit. Instead, to check whether it is on/off, hold down the button on the tracker for 5 seconds. If it flashes, you've switched it on. Hold down for another 5 seconds to switch it off.
If in doubt, press 'locate' on the APP home screen. If it updates, it's on.
For the UBEE RANGER and UBEE RANGER 4G dog tracker - to switch it on, hold down the button on the side of the tracker for 5 seconds and a sound will emit.
If you find you cannot switch off your UBEE RANGER (the green and black) tracker, this is perfectly normal.
When the RANGER is actively tracking, you cannot switch off the tracker via the button. Instead, you'll need to go to your app settings (the cog) and down to the setting named 'remote shutdown'.
Press that and around 10 seconds later you will hear the tracker power down.
To switch the tracker back on, you can go back to the button. Hold it down for 5 seconds and it'll switch back on.
For the UBEE SAFE and UBEE EXPLORER watches - to switch them on, hold down the button on the side of the watches for 5 seconds. You will be greeted to a welcome message and a few seconds later the watch face. Your watch is on. Please allow a few minutes for a signal to be intercepted.
To switch off, hold down the button on the side of the watch for 5 seconds and you will receive a close down message.
Should the tracker be actively tracking, you will need to shutdown the watch via the APP. To do this, go the the APP settings (the cog). Press 'remote shutdown'. 10 seconds later the watch will switch off.
For all other models - Hold down button for 5 seconds, long tone is on. Hold down for 5, short tone is off. Should the tracker be actively tracking, you will need to shutdown the tracker via the APP. To do this, go the the APP settings (the cog). Press 'remote shutdown'. 10 seconds later the tracker will switch off.
Please note, switching off any of our trackers will cut the signal connection so upon switching it back on, it may take a minute or two to reconnect.
