A subscription is required to cover the data transfer from the tracker to the APP. The location updates are transferred via this method. Inside every watch or tracker is one of our SIM cards, these SIM cards use every available mobile network in Europe to ensure that the tracker is not out of connection and can always send you updates.
For pets, we would always recommend the Data Subscription - Data subscriptions allow you to tracker the device, check the routes the tracker has taken and receive alerts if the tracker breaches a virtual GeoFence.
Voice functions do not work particularly well with pets as it involves two way calling. Sadly, cat and dog paws simply aren't designed for such things :)
For people, you may also like to consider the Voice Subscription - Voice subscriptions have all the same functions as the Data but also allow you to call and be called by the tracker or watch. This can come in handy if you are looking to track someone who is prone to escaping and you need to make a call to get hold of them.
If you choose to switch to a Voice subscription at a later date, we will need to send you a separate Voice SIM card. This will be sent 1st class and will include instructions on how to set up.
