*Leave the APP running on your phone, when actively tracking the device. Fully closing down the APP, will stop the route being recorded.
If the history is not displaying on the APP, it could be that the time on the tracker is incorrect. To check, go to your APP settings and down to 'Time Zone Selection'. Ensure that the time zone is set to 'GMT 0:00' (West GMT 0:00 on some Android phones) - Press OK (Image attached)
Please do switch on 'summer time' now.
Next, in order to look back on history the start and finish times must be quite specific. Ensure that the start time is a close to when you realised your cat had gone outdoors. This will allow the history to draw the most accurate route.
Give it another try and the route should display.
If you find that some of the points on the map look to be inaccurate, the tracker could be intercepting LBS signals. Return to the APP settings and ensure that the 'Set Local Base Station' setting is switched off. This will not only improve the historical routes in future, it will also improve the real time tracking too.
Lastly, in the APP settings is a 'location update schedule', it should be set to update every 10 minutes. This means that the route for the 'history' can only be marked at each 10 minute point. You may want to increase how often it updates (one minute updates) so it can mark more points and create a more detailed map. This does, however, drain the battery quite quickly
As a general rule of thumb, keep the tracker switched on to hold connection but charge it up every couple of days for about 90 minutes. If you do switch to every minute updates, increase charging to 90 minutes per day.
