How do I know when it is online? The tracker automatically switches on when on charge. You will hear the tone emit, (referencing the pretty tune you mentioned in question 2). After removing it from the charger, the tracker will be switched on. In theory, it should have come online now but it may take a few minutes to connect. To check, press 'locate' on the APP. It should say that it is updating and the position will update within 40 seconds.
The tracker emitted a little "tune" - does this mean that the battery is low? - It depends. When charging, there is a longer ascending tone. If the tracker is not on charge and you hear a shorter, descending tone (you will recognise the differences) the tracker has ran out of charge.
How long should the battery on the tracker last? - It varies depending on the update frequency. On the APP settings, there is a setting named 'location update schedule'. If updating every minute, it will drain within a day. 10 minute updates, two days. Hourly updates will give you closer to three days. You can always manually request an update by pressing 'locate'. However, it will contribute to battery drain.
Is there anyway the map can show a satellite view? - Absolutely! On the map screen, in the top right (possibly top left, depending on phone model), is a small square with two smaller squares within it. Give that a click and the satellite option will become available.
Does the tracker attach to the collar, using both plastic clips provided? - Only one clip is required. We would recommend having the clip on the underside of the collar, sitting against your dogs neck. Then, thread the collar through the clip. Lastly, affix the tracker. Alternatively, we do have some rubber holders available via the link below. They are designed for our Ranger 4G model. However, they do work with the model you have too.
